AN ACCORDION BAJAN INTERPRET AND COMPOSER,
WILLY MALARODA
BY GEORGES TORMEN (CANADA)
At 9 years old Willy Malaroda has studied Music Theory with Mrs.
Weinachter, who was Pasdeloup Concert' Violoncellist. During the next
ten
years he has studied music with the aim to master bajan accordion. That
qualified him to adapt many classic music masterpieces and nriched
his personal repertoire with genuine accordion music scores. In 1970,
1972 and 1974, his studies have prepared him to be finalist in the
category seniors-classical and varieties of the Office de la
Radiotélévision Française's Coupe de France Contest.
When he was a music professor at the Union Artistique et Intellectuelle
des Cheminots Français (UAICF) he has the privilege to meet Aymane
Baladie, Violonist from the Gnessine′s Superior Institut of Music
(Moscow) who was also member of The New Orchestre Symphonique de Radio
France and of The Chambre de Normandie′;s Orchestra. Aymane Baladie has
accepted to perform Willy Malaroda′s own composition called
« La Ballade Nomade » on « Compositions Romantiques », Willy Malaroda′s CD.
