An Accordion Bajan Interpret and Composer,

At 9 years old Willy Malaroda has studied Music Theory with Mrs. Weinachter, who was Pasdeloup Concerts’ Violoncellist. During the next ten years he has studied music with the aim to master bajan accordion. That qualified him to adapt many classic music masterpieces and enriched his personal repertoire with genuine accordion music scores. In 1970, 1972 and 1974, his studies have prepared him to be finalist in the category seniors-classical and varieties of the Office de la Radiotélévision Française’s Coupe de France Contest.
When he was a music professor at the Union Artistique et Intellectuelle des Cheminots Français (UAICF) he has the privilege to meet Aymane Baladie, Violonist from the Gnessine’s Superior Institut of Music (Moscow) who was also member of The New Orchestre Symphonique de Radio France and of The Chambre de Normandie’s Orchestra. Aymane Baladie has accepted to perform Willy Malaroda’s own composition called « La Ballade Nomade » on « Compositions Romantiques », Willy Malaroda’s CD.
Willy Malaroda has recorded many masterpieces of the great classical musicians as Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss and during a live concert in Giessen (Germany), he also performed Bach, Schubert, Schumann, Delibes, Grieg, Fibich, Paganini and Mendelssohn.
On his return trip from St-Petersburgh (Russia), he has played on the boat and was heard by Mrs. Laetitia Cropp, the famous mezzo-soprano, who was impressed by his interpretation. Willy Malaroda is now her bajan accordion accompanist as alternative replacement of piano accompanist. Willy Malaroda also is the accompanist of Cornelia Haselbauer, the well-known, mezzo- soprano, in Frankfort (Germany).
In Russia, Willy Malaroda is member of Orchestre Nationale d’Accordéons de France, under Sergei Ivantchenko and Jean-Marie Dazas direction for concerts organizes by the Musical Confederation of France.(CMF)
Back to Paris, France, he has recorded his own compositions and received a very enthusiastic well come from the music public. Those compositions are daily heard on Radio RDL Alsace.
As a Bajan accordionist, Willy Malaroda participates to the musical renewal by exploring, discovering, experiencing and innovating in the field of artistic forms of expression. Romantism belongs to those successful ones. With his extraordinary bajan accordion Willy Malaroda is pursuing his exploration.
Indeed, his compositions brings to Musical Romantic Tradition a vision that introduce modern sensitivities and expanding range of emotions to which today people are more sensitive.
